Who We Are

In the Arms of Grace Hospice is a family-owned and operated hospice serving communities of Los Angeles, Orange, Ventura, and parts of San Bernardino, Riverside, and Kern counties. IAGH was built on the mission of extending patients the same dignity and grace in their final months as they had in the prime of their lives.

A Better Way

We founded our organization in honor of our grandmother, who died of dementia. The hospice process of her death was difficult and jarring for our family. We wanted to create a better way, a way that gave patients a dignified end and gave families a sense of peace and closure.

That is why we pride ourselves on giving each patient our full attention and partnering with families to shoulder the burden of care. By providing a compassionate continuum of care through an interdisciplinary team model, we can truly extend the hospice heart to make a dark time a little brighter. If anything shows our success, it’s the relationships we maintain with families long after their loved ones have passed.

Our Mission Statement

While hospice may be a difficult time in one’s life, it certainly doesn’t have to be the worst. Our mission is to curate an end-of-life experience that extends patients the same level of dignity and grace they had in the prime of their lives. We treat the whole person, not just their illness, and work shoulder-to-shoulder with the families we serve to ease the burden of care. While we can’t always make them whole, we can try by doing everything possible to help them find peace and resolution.

Our Values

Patient autonomy

Patients going through hospice should be able to do so on their own terms. By getting to know each patient and family’s circumstances, we do everything in our power to keep them in the driver’s seat.

Curating an end-of-life experience

You may not think of end-of-life as an experience, but that’s what it is, for better or worse. Our team works actively to enrich this experience and make it meaningful for the patient and their family.

Dignify every life

We believe every patient and every family is unique and important. No matter the circumstances, we bring our best in terms of care, compassion, and commitment — every time. We treat the whole person, not just the illness.

Lifting up families

There’s no doubt about it, families carry the bulk of patient care. On top of other pressures and the business of life, lifting that burden and helping minimize stress means a job well done for our team.

A holistic approach

We treat the full person, mind, body, and soul, not just the illness. Our interdisciplinary team works together to bring resolution to each patient’s physical, emotional, familial, and spiritual needs in order to create a peaceful, dignified end.

Tailored care

Care shouldn’t be cookie-cutter. We tailor every aspect of your hospice experience to accommodate your wishes and needs.

Our Credentials

We are a proud member of the National Alliance for Care at Home (The Alliance) and the California Hospice & Palliative Care Association (CHAPCA). Our team members serve in various leadership positions within these organizations. We are accredited by The Joint Commission (TJC), the nation’s leading Accrediting Organization that continually surveys and evaluates healthcare organizations to determine compliance with national standards of safety and quality care.

We also participate in California’s Medical Aid in Dying program. This program authorizes the compassionate option of medical aid in dying for terminally ill adults to get a prescription they can take to end their life peacefully.

Insurance Carriers We Work With

We take Medicare, Medi-Cal, and Blue Shield of California. We are working to partner with more private insurance providers to meet the needs of our patients and families. Contact a family care coordinator to see if we work with your insurance provider.
