Team IAGH Attends Inaugural CHAPCA Certified Leadership Program

This June, members of our hospice team took a critical new step in leadership development by attending the inaugural CHAPCA Certified Leadership Program – the association’s official training for hospice executives and managers. Their participation represents our unwavering commitment to compassionate care in the service of our community.

The CHAPCA Certified Leadership Program is an intensive, multi-day course designed by the California Hospice and Palliative Care Association to equip hospice management with the latest skills for the modern care environment. This exclusive certification covered key areas from regulatory compliance, operational best practices, ethics, financial management, and values-based leadership – ensuring our team meets and exceeds California’s rigorous standards for patient-centered care.

As the state’s recognized standard for leadership training, the CHAPCA program works directly with the California Department of Public Health to establish minimum standards of training for hospice management personnel. Successful completion is more than an accolade. It is an important distinction required of leadership personnel in accredited California hospices, and signifies dedication to legal and ethical accountability within their organizations.

With certifications obtained, our leaders will receive continuing education and training through specialized resource libraries, workshops, and conferences focused on the challenges facing our industry. More broadly, it facilitates an ecosystem of dedicated, passionate hospice professionals who can share learnings and solve problems together.
